Rick Ross aint at cloud nine with P-Square, the popular Nigerian music duo consisting of twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, separated in 2017 after years of successful collaboration. Their split was reportedly due to personal differences and management issues, but both have since pursued solo careers. Despite their separation,
They reunited in 2022 and held the reunion concert in Lagos. Mid this year, they burst out again and Paul Okoye confirmed their breakup for good. This wasn't music to the ears of Rick Ross one of the rappers they collaborated with on a track dubbed Onyinye and he had the following to say;
"I'm a hustler and I know no matter what you do you've gotta make money. But what P-Square is doing is so stupîd, like do they even know they're blood brothers? If only these guys knew how much they mean to Africa, they would reconcîle and get back together. P-Square is the reason why I believed in African music. Like I mean, these guys were the first African artiste I ever collaborated with. And I'm gonna tell you a fact, most people here in the United States only knew of afrobeats and started giving it attention because of P-Square These guys terrorîzed the African music scene for more than 10 years mehn. Afrobeats would've been bigger than it is today if P-Square had sticked together. I am dîsappointed P-Square, it's like they don't know they're blõod brothers. They're the pride of Africa and should get back together."
